All of our specimen pieces (including butterflies) are handmade by a small, local artist. This artist sources directly from conservation farms. These conservation farms collect the specimens' bodies after their natural passing, before selling them to artists and using the funds to continue their conservation efforts. Not only are the pieces beautiful, but also a lovely way to honor the life cycle and promote conservation of these species!
